ENGLETHWAITE HALL MID WEEK RALLY

 

28th September to 1st October 2010

 

We arrived after a ‘long’ drive from the Chairman’s Golf Rally at Dalston, to be greeted by Margaret, Ray, Pam and Brian.  Flag was at 7.00pm under a tent made by Ray and Brian.

Monday we had an afternoon tea in the sun, with music from Brian’s car radio.

 

On Tuesday we had progressive dominoes in the tent.  It was a bit cosy, especially if you had to move to another table.

 

On Wednesday we should have had breakfast cooked by our rally officers but the Cumbrian monsoon rain meant breakfast was put off until Thursday.  The weather was much better on Thursday morning so breakfast went ahead.  It was the full English with cereals, bacon, egg, beans and sausage followed by toast and marmalade, tea or coffee.

 

On Thursday evening we played bingo, which was followed by closing flag.  I won the ‘ugly bear’ prize, which is why I have had to write the rally report!!

 

A good rally was had by all.  Thanks to our rally officers.
