Grasmere Follow-on Rally

1st to 6th September 2010

 

We drew the short straw to do the rally report for the rally at Grasmere so here goes.

 

We arrived at lunch time a little ahead of time and were greeted warmly by Maria and Ken and their family and were quickly sited and set up.  The weather was hot and sunny and ideal for a holiday in the lakes.  From the beginning the rally was excellent with plenty of fun things for all to participate in.   A get together of cheese and wine which was good to get everyone talking and making friends.   Bingo, domino night and a treasure hunt with a superb supper at the end of it cooked on site by Maria and Co.  

 

It was a really enjoyable rally with friendly people and of course a week of wall to wall sunshine.  It was really one oft the b est weeks we have ever had in the lakes.  It is certainly a cert for next year so will have to get booked up asap.
